Vulture vs. Infantry
Sent in by Drr.Evil

Vultures are the most powerful anti-infantry Terran unit. They deal a smashing 20 points of damage (limited against some units) and build relativley cheap and quickly. Vultures are probably the best unit to use against Hydralisks. Both units deal half damage to each other, but the Vulture has more life. So while the hydralisk is dealing 5 points of damage to the Vulture, the Vulture is dealing 10 points of damage to the hydralisk. When upgraded the Vulture has a roll of +6, the Hydralisk has +3. Ouch. The Vulture is good for mowing down most any infantry unit, and as with all races it has a little more difficulty killing protoss. Vultures will reak havoc on Marines and firebats as well. Against the Protoss I dont recomemnd letting them go head to head with Zealots and goons - no races's infantry can do that (except other protoss players). But do bring them along to support other units. You will be shocked at the difference it can make. But remember, vultures are INFANTRY, not ARTILLERY. Perhaps I should say they are ANTI-Infantry, not ANTI-Artillery. After all you wouldn't use a marines as your number one source of killing Reavers and tanks would you? I think that is why most people think they are useless - they dont quite realize the role which they are intended for. Now Im not going to go into spidermines and junk because it looks like enough people have done that for me.

CreepColony's Opinion: I strongly disagree that Vultures are good against Hydralisks. Hydralisks attach much faster than vultures, and have a much longer attack range. Tank and stimmed marines w/ medics are good against Hydralisks. Vultures are also very good against Protoss. A Tank/Vulture combination is deadly (if they don't have air that is). Vultures can make short work of zealots and dark templars, and can quickly kill templars who can psi storm. And since protoss have shields, the vultures do a lot of damage.
