Terran D-Day

This is a very simple way of simply disposing of your foes by landing in their base phalanx style, and is used by many people, so I won't pretend I came up with the original idea. I've simply modified it to make a deadly way of landing troops. Keep in mind this only works on maps in which the bases are close, such as The Hunters with the narrow waterways.

After you've developed a few tanks and bunkers for defense, start making marines, dropships, and tanks. All in all, your tallies before attacking should be near:
Defense: 6-8 tanks, 2-3 bunkers, 2-3 turrets. This should be sufficient to hold off many early attacks, and will ensure that you'll have time to build up your forces.
Coastal Force: 4-5 tanks, 8-12 marines, 4-5 turrets, one drop ship. This should be sufficient to buy you time, and this force won't have to stand alone for long.
Main Attack Force: 6 tanks, 24 marines, 6 dropships. (Load everything for this force)

That's simple enough. It would be wise to expand also, before actually attacking. These are all given things a Starcraft player should do, so I won't go into them in depth. The basis of the strategy is moving your troops to the coast opposite of one of your enemy's borders. Build turrets there, and park your tanks along with some marines along the coast. Sometimes, (many times actually) the enemy builds buildings too close to the shoreline, and those buildings will be quickly obliterated. Once the shore is clear, use the spare dropship to spot for the tanks on the coast, increasing their range. Once you've gotten that handhold, and the enemy can't come near the shore, start unloading the marines and tanks of your main force onto the shore, putting the tanks in siege mode and having the marines hold position. You now have a sufficient handhold to do some serious damage, and you can begin shipping the coastal force into the base also. You can take it from there...D-Day Landing. There are many ways to modify this, and I'll leave it to you to find the best way to manipulate the strategy to suit you. Keep in mind that the effectiveness of this is based on your skill with Starcraft, and you're ability to execute the drops. Experience and practice pay off. I only want to give away the basis of the idea, so that there is some variation to your play. I also left out a building order because that makes play rigid, and makes you tend to forget to adapt to what your opponent is doing. A fatal mistake. I hope you're able to use this, and thanks to Creep Colony for posting this SUPERIOR site.

CreepColony's Opinion: good strategy, but medics could help. And can't forget detectors!
