Recon and Misc. Tips

The biggest way to point out the difference between a good play and a kickass player is how he recons. There are a lot of different ways to do it, and it differs from map to map.

Protoss: If its a no rush game, tech up to observers FAST, then get it inside his base and leave it there. Watch his peon line to see if hes any good. If its a rush game, send a lowly zealot to move inside tehir base. Use the move command, not the attack command. If its a 3v3 shared, you can run up there and make a pylon real quick and when they kill it you can see what they are making.

Zerg: Parasite works on newbies. Its funny to see it too, cause they never realize it. A kickin (can I swear?) strategy for 3v3 shared is tech up to burrow really fast then go burrow a unit where they are going to be making buildings. That way you can see the buildings and some newbies are like wtf? I Cant builld there..must be a glitch..hmm.. And always scout with your overlord in any game in the very begining.

Terran: Comstat. Thats the only thing I have to say execpt get a few of them and hotkey them. However I would get turrets and vessels for some added detectors.

Attacking: Always scan/observe (looking for a verb to do with observers)/scout with overlord before you attack. If he has more units than OJ has lawyers find another way in.

Heres some more tips on starcraft:
Never ever eat when you are playing. I do it all the time but I am good enough. I am not trying to brag but I am seriously good enough to cast spells, attack, and all that other crap while eating. Never eat hot food though..thats a no no cause if you burn your mouth you are screwed.

Be nice to newbies...you were one once.

You have a left had and a keyboard..use them.

When you hear 'nuclear launch detected' you best have some detectors, but if you dont you can psi storm/ensnare, or even put a marine next to the little dot, then tell at tank to kill the marine. Then do it again, the splash will kill it. You gotta be fast for that though.

Threating to hack someone is not fun considering Bnet whines at you and erases your record.

If you are facing a 6 ling rush attack with peons...I know it obvious but..arg...some people dont do it.
