Micromanagement Tips
Sent in by ESW=DarkTemplar, thanks!

Micromanagement is one of the most hardest aspects of Starcraft. What many people use is just the mouse to play the game. I have a couple of tips on improving your micromanagement skills. The keyboard is as important as the mouse but many players don't know this. Hotkeys are way faster than moving the cursor all the way to the panels in the bottom right corner (eg. you have to make units but you have to go back to something very quilky so just press "z" for zealot "m" for marines and "z" for zerglings). Also using the Ctrl+# (# replaced by nubers 1-9)is one of the coolest things in SC. To program it, just click any unit (s) and press Ctrl and a designated number. To recall those units just press the corresponding number and voila! the unit(s) is (are) selected right away w/o dragging them. Also switching between screens (when your attacking 2 bases at a time or something like that)at a very quik rate is very important. There is a Ctrl sort of way you can do that. Pressing Shift and F2-F4. Like where you have your defences built up, you might want to designate it as F2 so you can go to it quikly when you get attacked. One last tip, use the spacebar button to go to the screen when the advisor last talked to you (like your zealot is done and you dont want to scroll all the way to that screen). I hope this makes your micromanegment "skillz" way beter in starraft. Good Luck in the future.

CreepColony's Opinion: Hotkeys may take some time to learn, but once you learn them, they will help you a great deal.
