Hey guys,

There is no Screen Shot this month. I don’t have the time at the moment to add one. I may do that later on in the month. You can still head over to our SCII Screen Shots page to check out over 400 of them we’ve taken in game.

An overwhelming yes for this poll. Since the Galaxy Editor has come out, a lot of maps have come out already. While players can not use them for online play, they can test them out. So as soon as the feature becomes available in the Beta or at the Launch to publish the maps to your account a huge amount will be ready and waiting for you to play.

A quick reminder that although we do not have an SCII Maps page set up yet, we will gladly take any submissions that are posted or sent in via the forums.

Screen Shot & Poll of the Month (Apr. 1st 2010)

Hey guys,

April is now upon us. We have the results in for the latest poll below. Also a few quick things to mention:

- The SCII Zerg Units page will be finished in the next couple of days finally.
- The Screen Shots page is being constantly updated and we will not mention on here every time it is.
- The previous SSotM posts have had the images not showing. This has been fixed.

And because it’s hard to make out the details, this and any others I put up will be in 1094 x 819, just click on the image to see it enlarged. Here are some Battle Cruisers (and a Yamato blast) finishing up an enemy Terran base on Twilight Fortress.

All of them takes the lead. But more specifically Protoss would be the most popular race, but only by a few percentage points. Looks just about even.

We know there are a lot more heroes to choose from. Just picked a main one from each race.

And below is the Screen Shot of the Month submitted by me again (surprised?). Don’t forget, you can post your submission in the thread on the forums and we’ll put it up and credit you. The map for this one is 5v3 hard computers 50 upgrades (which really just ended up being 3vs3). You can see the destruction of the enemy base from all 3 races.

I had mentioned in a previous post that our last poll had been screwed up. It somehow closed itself and went unnoticed until mid December. Then when I just checked on it again it was closed. So hopefully that won’t happen again from here on out.

At any rate, it’s obvious that people want to get to the beta already!

The newest Screen Shot of the Month was taken in the map Twisted Melee map by 13lack-13ahamut. It shows me doing a nuke extra on an opponent’s Nexus. A very fun map.

Hello everyone.

Straight off the top I wanted to bring attention to the fact there is no Screen Shot this month. I haven’t received any submissions and I don’t have the time right now . If I come up with one soon I’ll update this post with it.

So last month’s poll asked what is your favorite game type in StarCraft. We had a ton of choices and over 500 votes.

Use Map Settings took a big victory with 52%. Top vs Bottom came in second. I was expecting Melee/FFA, so I’m surprised.

This month’s poll asks a question that seems to be holding up the SCII beta.

In this update, we have the results from the last poll and a new screen shot and poll for you for another month.

The winner was people’s computers not being able to handle the requirements. A very understandable problem.

From what I’ve heard about SC2, you won’t need the latest and greatest to play it. But it certainly helps .

We used to have a monthly poll on the site and screen shot of the week. We don’t have enough screen shots being sent in right now, so we’re just doing a poll & screen shot of the month.

Who Do You Want to See Bite it?

It’s been a while since the last update, so I’m sure you’re good and hungry.

Hydralisks ran away with the previous poll with an overwhelming majority of the votes. One of the most versatile units in StarCraft, the Hydralisk lost some of its luster with the release of Brood War when many people began to use it as just a stepping stone to the Lurker. It remains, however, one of the most badass looking units in the SC universe.

The next poll asks Who Do You Want to See Bite it? One of the main characters in SC2 has to die. Which one do you want it to be?

When Do You Think SC2 Will Release?

I think the last poll has run long enough, so lets get the results!

Most of you guys thought Late 2008 (which is what I voted). From the looks of the game so far it seems that much of it is already fairly polished and ready to go, but they are just releasing it little by little to gauge the fanbase reaction and to get ideas on possible balance and lore issues. Blizzard does, however, have a history of taking forever to release games, so I don’t think we’ll see a retail copy until Late 2008 or Early 2009.

Time for the next poll: Which SC Zerg Unit Could SC2 Not Live Without?
